The Senior Manager, Commercial Forecasting and Insights is responsible for owning and continuously improving the global forecasting ecosystem across orders, revenue, and commercial performance. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Commercial Excellence leadership to deliver high-confidence forecasts, actionable insights, and data-driven decision support that directly influence revenue outcomes and business strategy.

This position goes beyond reporting to shape how the business plans, forecasts, and executes, ensuring alignment between commercial activity, pipeline health, and financial targets.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Sales Operations and is part of the Commercial Excellence Team located in Fargo, ND and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Own and Lead Global Forecasting Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end orders and revenue forecasting processes, including methodology, governance, and output
  • Establish standardized forecasting frameworks across regions, teams, and business units
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, predictability, and transparency
  • Partner with Sales and Finance leadership to align forecasts with financial plans and growth targets

Advance Predictive Forecasting & Analytics

  • Develop and evolve analytics-driven forecasting models incorporating pipeline dynamics, conversion rates, and leading indicators
  • Implement scenario modeling and risk-adjusted forecasting to provide ranges and confidence levels
  • Identify key business drivers and proactively surface risks and opportunities impacting revenue

Deliver Executive-Level Commercial Insights

  • Lead development of weekly/monthly business performance insights, integrating pipeline, bookings, revenue, and KPI trends
  • Provide clear, concise executive narratives on performance gaps, root causes, and recommended actions
  • Enable leadership teams to make faster, data-driven decisions through high-quality synthesis and storytelling

Drive Funnel Health & Performance Management

  • Establish and maintain funnel health metrics and leading indicators
  • Analyze pipeline quality, velocity, and coverage to improve conversion outcomes
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify performance gaps at the team, territory, and account level

Enable Territory Planning & Incentive Alignment

  • Develop performance analytics that support quota attainment tracking and territory performance optimization
  • Partner with Compensation/Operations teams to ensure accurate and scalable incentive calculation frameworks
  • Provide insights to inform quota setting, segmentation, and coverage models

Lead Data & Systems Enablement

  • Collaborate with BI, Data, and IT teams to enhance data infrastructure, reporting tools, and automation
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across forecasting inputs and outputs
  • Drive adoption of scalable tools (e.g., CRM, BI platforms, forecasting systems)

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial analytics, forecasting, or revenue operations
  • Demonstrated experience owning or significantly influencing forecasting processes in a complex commercial organization
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
  • Ability to travel 10%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with predictive modeling, statistical forecasting, or Python-based analytics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams
  • Background in life sciences, healthcare, or B2B commercial environments

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $115,000-$145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
