The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Oracle Database Administrator , the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.Create dynamic web pages using HTML, Oracle mod_plsql, Oracle webforms and oracle apexMaintain existing Oracle mod_plsql packages, Oracle and webforms and oracle apexCreate and maintain Oracle tablesDesign and maintain Oracle packagesPatch Oracle systems as requiredUpgrade Oracle systems as requiredMonitor Oracle environmentsCreate and maintain procedures to Create, Read, and Delete critical dataManage data migration to include the migration plan, cleansing, transformation, and testingMaintain analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with businessMaintain security and integrity controlsPerform data analysis/testing of the results of data migration scripts and stored procedures to verify and validate the successful migration of data from a legacy database to a new database (both Oracle 11g) WHAT YOULL NEED: Security Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI or Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain SCI access after hire.Required Experience: 8+ years of experience in database and data managementExperience with the following:o Oracle 18c or higher incl Oracle RACo Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query performance tuningo Strong front end Scripting experience, JavaScripto Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX and JSON experienceo Experience with Law Enforcement Data (major plus)Experience with Linux based systems hosting Oracle enginesExperience in a fast-paced environment with aprovenengineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems -- to includehands-onsolutions development and implementation experienceAbility to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end usersAbility to establish and document new standards for quality, performance or productivityCertification Requirement: CompTIA Security+ CE (CurrentDoD 8570 -IAT Level II)Education: BS degree.
