Job Description
Purpose The Newly formed Packaging Region in Internal Manufacturing includes 4 critical manufacturing sites. These sites package nearly all of AbbVies key products, including Skyrizi, Ubrelvy, Rinvoq, Venetoclax, and Vyalev. This role will have the opportunity to consolidate financials, standardize processes across the region & contribute in a meaningful way to AP16. The role will provide financial support to the Packaging Region Controller and Director as well as other stakeholders. Additionally, this role will sit at the AP16 site and get direct cost accounting & business support experience through working with the Site Controller & Assistant Controller. The Senior Analyst, Finance is responsible for financial accounting, consolidation, cost allocation, collection of data and preparation of reports that maintain AbbVies cost accounting systems for businesses supported. Responsibilities - Prepares and develops drafts of annual Plan, LRP and LBEs as required.
- Ensures complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analysis and commentary. Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to Region Management.
- Financial support for Plan and Update.Flash/LBE (Latest Best Estimate) preparation.Reviews and understands variances from Plan/Update/LBE. Provides mid-month analysis of actuals and trend against LBE to Region Management.
- Responsible for assisting Operations team in the identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting and periodic analysis of operations performance.
- Prepares, coordinates, and develops standards for assigned cost rolls, and ensure timely communication of information.
- Prepares and analyzes journal entries and account reconciliations as needed during month-end close process to maintain appropriate internal controls.
- Provides ad hoc analysis to support complex decision making.
- Leads Region reviews and understands the growth/performance of their business and analyzes variances of actuals vs benchmark.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required. Bachelors degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Execute priorities established by Manager with speed and agility.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.
