Project/Task Manager

As a Project Manager you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an exceptional candidate joining our team to manage Group-level projects and tasks directly for the leadership of the Cyber Engineering Group (CEG) within our customer's Office of Cyber Security (OCS).
PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES
Manages and is responsible for the successful delegation and/or completion of all tasks in assigned projects.
Does not directly supervise employees but works across Divisions and Branches encompassing approximately 25 staff and 75 contractors consisting of engineers, developers, cyber SMEs, and systems support/operations personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Ensures communication, collaboration, and cooperation across divisions and teams that collectively enable mission success.
Assists the leadership to proactively identify risks and challenges and then develop or propose solutions to customer leadership to mitigate those.
Directs, tracks, and provides both formal and informal reporting on multiple projects and systems (create/update Confluence pages and Jira tickets, provide information for biweekly and monthly Project Management Reviews, provide summary emails and formal writeups upon request).
Manages/tracks Jira tickets and ensure work is being documented and prioritized correctly; may participate in weekly SCRUMs; engages regularly with CEG components and teams to keep abreast of all work, issues, concerns, etc.
Communicates effectively with customer and contract leadership, as well as the contractor team, to understand and relay objectives, requirements, and cost/schedule/technical concerns.
Identifies capability gaps and addresses needs to proactively recommend changes to ensure teams have what they need to complete work and achieve project success.
Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure is required; understanding of cybersecurity principles and controls is desired.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor of Science Information Technology or Cybersecurity Management, or related discipline
Experience: 8+ years of related experience managing IT and/or cyber projects
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong Project/Task Management skills
Confidence, demeanor, and presence to interact with and brief senior customer leaders
Experience managing budgets and working knowledge of customer procurement mechanisms
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Confluence/Jira experience
Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project and/or Visio a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
Knowledge of ICD 503 A&A process and security controls a plus
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Location: Herndon, VA - customer site
