At GDIT youll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate. ** This position is pending contract award in late August / early September 2026 timeframe. ** The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a System Integrator the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.Integrated experience in working with various Microsoft based applications and services to include Active Directory, DNS, SQL Server, Exchange 2016 & 2019, Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows Server Update Services, etc.Daily operational experience with VMware vCenter for virtual machine managementSupports enterprise storage capacity planning and remediationAdminister web servers, IIS and ApacheSupports admin and user backup and recovery requests along with storage engineerFamiliarity with Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for desktop deploymentsImplements STIG releases across a variety of operating systems and applicationsContinual attention to periodic SCAP and STIG requirementsTracks and remediates IAVM vulnerabilitiesManages ACAS vulnerability reports and remediates as requiredPerforms software upgrades, patch installs, and firmware upgradesDiagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related softwareDaily written and oral communications with leadership and coworkersTroubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environmentCreate scripts in various shells to automate daily and periodic tasksDocument work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers on task. WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your help desk expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our System Integrator must have:Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance. A TS with SCI eligibility is also acceptable.Required Experience: 7+ years in systems administrationRequires a firm understanding of technologies, including:MS Active Directory, DNS, GPOMS SQL Server 2019/2022VMware vSphere 8.xWeb Server IIS, ApacheBasic network troubleshooting experience for system connectivityDoW system accreditation processSTIG checklist review process to include SCAP scans and implementationGroup Policy Management administration to include policy creation and maintenanceImproving system operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of servers and workstations.Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE required.
