JOB DESCRIPTION
The Physical Security Officer will support the Special Operations Command Central J2 Program in Tampa Florida. Will use extensive experience managing all the physical security aspects of the SCIF/T-SCIF lifecycle from concept approval, developing and implementing a SCIF/T-SCIF construction security plan (CSP), maintaining, the Pre-Construction, Pre-Construction Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and Pre-Construction TEMPEST Checklist using TEMPEST Form B for accreditation and re-accreditation. Provide support to SCIF planning and accreditation, recertification processes and procedures and familiar with the SCIF construction process as per the ICD 705 standard with Special Access Facility Accrediting Official Course Desired.

As a Physical Security Officer, you will support personnel assigned to the Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT) SSO.
JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
- Administer the receipt, control and accountability of SCI
- Screen visitors and control access to all SCIFs using a local database and DISS
- Gather facts and use effective analytical methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of security problems
- Perform random bag entry/exit inspections (EEIPs)
- Works in conjunction with Special Security Representatives (SSR) and sub-commands daily with security issues and any inspections and corrective actions as necessary
- Verifies clearances for all visitors and command members as necessary utilizing appropriate command, DoW and IC systems of record
- Conducts detailed reviews pertaining to Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACCS) and other secure facility vulnerabilities
- Gains and maintains access to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Electronic Badging and Access Control System (AMAG),
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Familiarity with National, DoW, DIA SCI security regulatory requirements
- Attended and completed a formal SSO certification training and Sensitive Compartmented Facilities Physical Security course within the last 4 years
- Knowledge of OPM investigation process
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Knowledge of DoW adjudication process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with problem solving, including strict attention to detail
- Physical Security Specialist maintain responsibility of SCIFs / T-SCIFs / SWA and TSWAs accreditation and all that entails from concept approval to final submission.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Clearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required
- Experience: 12+ years of related experience
- Education: Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Certifications: ICD705 Physical Security Course, Security Professional Education Development (SPeD)Certification Program/ CDSE Physical Security Certification (PSC) , SSO Course (SSOC), CDSE Intro to Personnel Security PS113.16
- Role requirements: 5 days per week onsite
