Stellar Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer of solid particle products and specializes in chemical processing services such as specialty tableting, compaction granulation, and granular filling.  We support the manufacturing of a variety of consumer and industrial products including water treatment chemicals, janitorial and sanitation products, agrochemicals, raw materials, and more. Both Leslie's and Stellar strive to create a positive and fun atmosphere where our Team Members feel valued and are enthusiastic about the contributions they make to the success of Stellar.</p><p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p><p>The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as moving materials within or near the plant to store inventory, supply production lines, or transport necessary materials and supplies. This role ensures materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently to support production and shipping operations.</p><p><strong>Pay: $18.41 - $24.86 / Hourly</strong></p><p><em>Compensation within range to be determined by the applicant&rsquo;s education, experience, knowledge and skills, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. </em></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Read shipping/receiving paperwork or follow verbal instructions to obtain and move materials or containers.</li><li>Ensure all tasks are completed according to work orders and clarify instructions if needed.</li><li>Secure lifting attachments to materials and transport them from storage or work sites to designated areas.</li><li>Stack, assemble, and band materials into bundles.</li><li>Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, or shelves and attach identifying tags or labels.</li><li>Unload trucks, count units, and move materials to storage areas.</li><li>Load trucks, count units, and secure loads with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transit.</li><li>Complete and sign shipping and receiving paperwork.</li><li>Record quantities, weights, and units of materials moved on daily production sheets.</li><li>Lift objects manually or using pallet jacks and forklifts; maintain forklifts and ensure they are charged.</li><li>Keep work areas clean, orderly, and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.</li><li>Ensure plant labeling requirements are followed and all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.</li><li>Recommend improvements to material handling processes and procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience as a material handler/forklift operator preferred.</li><li>Ability to read, write, and speak English to interpret procedures, quality specifications, and production records.</li><li>Ability to report data both orally and in writing.</li><li>Must be able to lift or move 50&ndash;100 pounds.</li></ul><p><strong>We offer our employees competitive compensation,</strong> extensive paid training, comprehensive and flexible suite of benefits package, 401K with company match, team member discounts, rewards for top performers, and most importantly career advancement opportunities.</p><p><strong>Leslie&rsquo;s recognizes a critical component to our continued success is our people. </strong> Leslie&rsquo;s is proud to have a culture of inclusion that seeks to celebrate and embrace the different backgrounds and perspectives that help drive our success and support team members in developing and growing with us.
