GDIT is seeking an experienced Program Execution Director to lead and oversee a team dedicated to supporting enterprise-level IT programs, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple portfolios. This role is responsible for managing a team of program planners and schedulers, driving execution excellence, and aligning program outcomes with organizational objectives.

As a Program Execution Director, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of customers across the enterprise.
Leadership & Oversight: Manage and mentor a team of ~15 to 18 program planners and schedulers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Program Governance: Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
Execution Management: Drive program execution across multiple complex initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to align program objectives with business priorities.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful program outcomes.
Reporting & Metrics: Develop and deliver executive-level reporting on program health, performance metrics, and resource utilization
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Program Execution Director must have:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 10+ years of program management experience within IT environments
Leadership experience: 5+ years in leadership roles managing program planning and scheduling teams
Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience in Oracle Financials
Technical skills: Strong understanding of program governance, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and portfolio management frameworks
Role requirements: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Role requirements: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar programs
Security clearance level: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
US citizenship required
Location: Hybrid to the Falls Church Headquarters with the expectation to work in the office a minimum of three (3) or more days per week
Preferred, but not required role requirements:
Preferred Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent
