Warehouse General Laborer - Decatur, IL
Warehouse General Laborer – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, hourly level position.
Position Summary:
We have an opening at facility in Decatur, IL for a Warehouse General Laborer.
Job Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently work with loaders and unloaders to position product where needed
- Perform various warehouse duties
- Stage orders to outbound shipments
- Periodically operate a forklift
- Housekeeping duties
- Assist with damage control
- Organize pallets
- Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely
Job Requirements- Actively participate in all ADM required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs
- Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
- Safely operate forklift to arrange product within the warehouse
- Pulling orders per customer requests, including palletizing bags and preparing the pallet for shipment. Must be done in such a way as to reduce the chance of damage in transit
- Accurately fill orders and document lot numbers for each bag and each product.
- Shrink wrap and stage orders for shipment
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the operations
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Assist in maintaining the housekeeping program (cleaning), including required written documentation
- Filtering face piece respirator may be required for certain tasks
- Assist in efficient warehousing and organization of products.
- Attempt to keep products clear of dust, debris, and safe stacking of pallets is required.
- Assist in light maintenance which may include using ladders, hand tools, and power tools.

- Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays
Physical Requirements- Standing for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs
- Must be able to repetitively lift 50 pound bags when pulling orders or working damage control
